Intelligent Solar Design.
Built Around Your Business.

A successful solar PV project starts with a design that understands your building, your energy requirements and what you want to achieve.

Square 4 Solar’s in-house design team develops commercial and industrial solar PV systems across the UK. From existing buildings to new-build developments, we tailor each design to your site, available roof space and project specification.

Through detailed planning and generation analysis, we develop a solar layout around your business’s electricity demand. Our design and delivery teams work together to provide a clear foundation for installation and long-term system performance.

Understand Your Site

We review your building, available roof space and electricity requirements to establish a clear brief for your solar PV design.

Develop Your Layout

Our in-house team develops a tailored solar PV layout, using detailed plans and modelling to show how the system will fit your building.

Forecast Your Generation

We analyse the proposed system’s electricity generation, giving you a clearer understanding of its potential performance before installation.

A Clear Vision.
Before Installation.

See your proposed solar PV system take shape before work begins. Our in-house design team brings together site assessment, detailed layouts and generation analysis to turn your requirements into a clear, practical proposal.

From panel positioning to projected performance, we explain the thinking behind your design so you can make an informed decision about your project.

• Detailed roof layouts and 3D modelling
• Forecasts of solar electricity generation
• Financial return projections
• Site-specific installation and safety considerations
• Dedicated support to discuss and refine your design

YOUR DESIGN PROPOSAL

Know Your System. Before You Build.

A Design Built Around You

Work with a dedicated designer who understands your project. We can develop your solar PV design from the initial brief or work with existing drawings supplied in a compatible format, refining the proposal around your building and its requirements.

Generation With Purpose

Understand how your proposed system is designed to meet your project’s generation requirements. For new builds, we review the BRUKL documentation and consider the building’s location and panel orientation to inform a design that supports Part L compliance.

From Proposal to Site Assessment

We walk you through the initial proposal on a Teams call, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the design. If you choose to progress, a technical site visit checks the assumptions behind the proposal against the conditions on site.

Have a Project in Mind?

Whether you’re starting with an initial idea or already have drawings, our in-house solar PV design team can help you take the next step. Share your plans and project requirements so we can understand your brief and discuss the approach.

  • Your system is developed by our in-house solar PV design team, with a dedicated designer assigned to your project. This gives you a consistent point of contact as the design develops around your building and project requirements.

  • Yes. We can work from an initial brief or review drawings and designs you already have. Send us your available documentation in a compatible format, and our team will explain what further information is needed.

  • Start with your site address, a description of the building and your project objectives. Share any available roof plans, drawings and generation requirements. For new-build projects, we also ask for the BRUKL documentation to understand the specified generation target.

  • Our designers consider the project’s generation requirements alongside the building’s location and the proposed panel orientation. For new builds, the BRUKL documentation helps inform a solar PV design that supports the project’s Part L compliance requirements.

  • Yes. Following the initial desktop assessment, we send you a proposal and arrange a Teams walkthrough. This gives you an opportunity to understand the proposed approach, ask questions and discuss changes before progressing.

  • If you decide to proceed, we arrange a technical site visit to check the initial design assumptions against the conditions on site. The design is then refined and terms agreed before the project is handed over to our operations team.
